The Baltic Sea Games Award has been established to promote the game industries of the Baltic Sea Region, strengthening their ecosystems and encouraging talent and start-up growth.

The award took two perspectives: creative quality and business potential. An online jury of game experts chose the winners in the four categories “Best Game Design”, “Best Game Art”, “Best Game Audio” and “Best Game Narrative” – evaluating the creative quality angle.

The four winners became the finalists in the second phase for the Baltic Sea Games Award ceremony, a live pitch event with a group of distinguished investors / publishers as jurors, which will took place at GameOn, 16 November 2019.

In addition to the jurors, the public had a say: an online community vote prior to the event and a live audience vote both had a stake in the final scoring. The best out of the four finalists after their pitching rounds, received the title “Best Start-up Game 2019”.
